Protect or perish

everyone is protectionist. otherwise our children would perish.
there is no necessary stigma in being protectionist.

Green makes sense financially, because doing the wrong thing to the environment is unfashionable.
It may seem self-congratulatory, or even like we are jumping on a bandwagon. But North American companies need to show how well they treat workers and the environment.
By doing this, they add value to your product, and put the boots to offshore and local competition whose policies hurt everyone.
