Waiting to exhale

All minds are on the stock market. We want it fixed, and it fixed only. It's almost always this way, and to our peril. It'll take a special government to respond.

The global economy is losing more money from the disappearance of forests than through the current banking crisis, according to an EU-commissioned study.

They put the annual cost of forest loss at between $2 trillion and $5 trillion.[BBC story...]
