john, great video. obviously i think of the obama camp and sites like change.gov. what other examples would you include?

I dont have any examples that I've researched... Maybe Lech Walesa's gov't of Poland and some Native American and African communities?
Still need people on the payroll, experts in their fields but - as in emergent business - what is asked of the bureaucracy is for it to be a social mechanism, i.e. a porous membrane for aggregating inherent intelligence, and as a distant second, a factory of intelligence.
I think.

Another example of walled cities not remaining that way. The US govt has not been big on sharing in recent years, and on the issue of intellectual capital, they have supported the big media companies to a fault. See Lawrence Lessig...
But here we see a new gov't site that openly participates in the creative commons movement - meaning that their content, and new content coming in, is not exclusively maintained by the site under restrictive copyright. It is a share alike license, they only ask that people reusing the content to attribute the site, that is, that the content came from here.
